One producer that we here at WYDU have always supported (because of the passion and love he puts into his work, and because it's good music!) is Tokyo Cigar. Well, dude is back with some nice mixes up in the area.....got a good listen in last night and some good stuff going on as usual, so check it out! - Trav
From Tokyo Cigar:
Yo whut up. Here’s the new project. I was watching this you tube clip with Diddy and he dropped so many jewels about making AN ALBUM ( not a random collection of songs kids ) that I had to base a project around it. This is the the first time I’ve made a joint where I go back and forth between original stuff and samples. Since I started sampling ( like a year ago ) I normally just do all one style or the other but I really wanted to use these beats on one project so I was like “why not?” Certain cats have heard these instrumentals before some were from contests and some were from collaborations that got caught up in red tape. I felt these joints were banging but I didn’t want to rhyme on em cause I wanted to focus my rhymes on my solo album. Production is varied between rugged hard joints, cool out beats and club ready tracks. N JOY Peace Tokyo Cigar May 29th 2009
Peace to everybody that has supported the kid
Kevin Nottingham, Thomas, Carsten, Trav ( WYDU ), GC, Dutchmasters, Cenzo, DJ Fusion, Jeffery Dove, Trav Williams, Cee, Notion, Ruff rhyme records, Skope magazine and all the others. I really appreciate the love.
Thank you all.

Has-Lo - You Can Live Thru Anything If Magic Made It
The place is here, the time is now. After dropping numerous teasers, we are finally dropping Has-Lo's remix project You Can Live Thru Anything If Magic Made It. I know for a fact that Has put a lot of work into this project. I was lucky enough to hear several tracks before he shipped me the complete project a week or so ago, and take it from an "unbiased" source, everything is hot. Those of you who follow WYDU, know I've been pretty high on Has since he hit me up with his Fuck Has Day EP back in December of 07. Since then, I've witnessed Has grow as an artist, and even though I've been his "ears" for numerous songs, beats, and projects over the past year, he still is able to surprise me.
I'll be the first to admit, I take Has' production skills for granted. He's such a dope MC as we've all witnessed on tracks like "Unsigned MCs", "Small Metal Objects", and "The Quiet Things", that you forget that he produced all those tracks on both of his EPs, except for one track off of Small Metal Objects. Has wanted to showcase his skills on the MPC, and I think he has done that quiet adequately on this release. His version of "Leather Face" by Big Pun is as good, if not better than the original. He laces up "Best To Do It" by Royce, Elzhi and Supastition the way it should have been in the first place and he makes Ghostface's "Love Session" all his own.
So if you are a fan of dusty, boom bap beats, remix projects, or just magic in general, do yourself a favor and check it out. Leave a comment for my man, I'm sure he'd love to hear what you think of it, good, bad or indifferent.

American Clapster - The American Gangster remix album
Hey Peeps!
I locked myself down in my appartment the last 3 days, to make a remix of Jay-Z's American Gangster album. I got the Accapellas on Thursday after I ordered them on Tuesday. I was a little disappointed with the Beats on the Original, so I had to do it. Went to the 2nd hand record store digging for some nice soul records on Friday. Then came back home and started. I just finished it an hour ago.
Please download it, it's FREE!
Feel free to share it with your friends and buy the original if you haven't already, Jay is really telling some nice shit on it!
And I would be more than Happy to receive some feedback from y'all!
You can check some of the tracks on my myspace if you wanna chec it out to make sure you aren't downloading any bs ;)

Ultimate Force - the remix
Sup, people, I don’t really have much time since I just came home from my 7 days -only - drink -beer -and -vodka -eat -burgers -and -pizza -while -driving -with -a -nine -seater -2500kilometers "holiday" to celebrate the end of my school days having successfully passed all of my 9 exams. Well I will quickly quote Jaz from coldrockdaspot what he posted over at discogs considering the following album:
"Never before released, album from legendary Bronx producer Diamond D (then known as the Supreme Diamond D) and MC Master Rob.
Jazzy Jay has re-mastered this album and finally released it to the public, 17 years after it was originally supposed to be released.
The album is a Special Edition Extended Play Double Disc includes all album tracks as well as full instrumentals and acapellas for each song, thirty six total cuts, housed in a deluxe six-panel digipak with additional liner note booklet written by Brian Coleman, with input from Master Rob and Diamond D themselves."
Well off course since it took only 17 years to be relased, I’m not going to post this simply up here and leave you with this, no! So to finally give you the hunger for more, leading you to finally decide to go into your favourite record shop or website and buy this, I’ll post the remix album from StA who is also from Luxembourg and who I used to know when I was little. In my opinion he did a great job remixing those 11 tracks, so go get them and if you like he’s stuff go check his myspace page and finally go out and buy the original copy as I did immediately after hearing the remix album.
Here’s what he had to say about the remixes of the Ultimate Force – I’m Not Playing album:
hi
my new record is out. It’s a remix of the ultimate force album I’m not playin...
check it out on www.partnergeschwader.de for free download.
peace StA
