DJ Concept - Primo On Fire

What's good folks? Yeah, it's just me, hopefully y'all remember me? Right? Big ups to the new crew for holding it down while I get some much needed time off. Oh, I'm still working on the blog, just some behind the scenes type of things, which will hopefully lead to bigger and better posts down the road.

Anyhow, here is a little Primo mix from WYDU favorite DJ Concept. Everyone loves Primo and while if you are a fan, you probably have all these tracks, a nice mix to play while you are playing Madden (or NBA Live), puttering around the house, or surfing the net for por....errrr researching. Enjoy! - Trav

Just a small offering of some sick productions by Premier. There is no rhyme or reason here, just good music. Enjoy.

DJ Concept - Tore Down: A Tribute To St. Ides & Many Other Fine Beverages

If my liver wasn't still in shock from my trip last weekend to Denver, I'd be using this DJ Concept compilation to ready myself for the upcoming weekend. Since it (my liver) has been rejecting the rest of my body, I'll just safely post this up for the rest of the drinkers and prepare for the 4th of July weekend. - Trav

Who remembers the old St. Ides commercials? Go ahead, raise your hand & show your age a bit, it’s OK. I did this set live on our radio show (www.milkcrateradio.com) and then decided to re-record it for your listening pleasure. I figured the best way to get over hump day would be to drop some weekend, fun, drinking type joint on yall. Go grab a 40 and hit play. Shouts to my mans Chief Chinchilla & J-Zone for the inspiration on this one & make sure you go pick up their album of Malt Liquor jingles called Live @ The Liqua Sto - RIGHT NOW!

I got together with my dudes over at PENNANT RACE(www.pennantracegear.com) and created this new mixtape to drop alongside the first round of their Spring 09′ line. Their whole entire catalog is sick, especially if you are a sports fan, so definitely go check them out. Even NAS loves Pennant Race! (http://tinyurl.com/prgear) This mix is actually tailored for 2 specific tees: The Garden Courtside Tee & The Staples Courtside Tee that feature Spike Lee & Jack Nicholson (as seen on the cover). So most of these joints are about LA or NY. Some oldies, some new shit…all dope. Enjoy…&…Go Buy Shit! 9 new shirts total.

It's Friday, it's Bob Marley's birthday - so I figured it was only right to create a mix & celebrate the life of a legend. This is just a small selection of joints from his catalog with a little help from a some rock & hip-hop heavyweights. Whether you're at work listening in your headphones, or home blazing - enjoy these classics from the Mr. Marley.

DJ Concept - The Beautiful Fascination With 45's // Stack Number 1

THIS MIX IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. I repeat…THIS MIX IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you are offended by the sound of dusty vinyl, stop right now. The sound quality is what you might expect from very old, neglected 45's. Certified raw shit right here. Complete with scratches, pops, clicks and even some skips.

The story of The Beautiful Fascination:
This idea was born at a garage sale somewhere on Long Island. Hidden away in some dark corner of the garage, i found a few stacks of dusty treats. I believe I payed $5 for the whole box. The stacks have no rhyme of reason. Every so often, I will grab a new stack, hit record on the computer & see what lands on the turntable. And now….without further ado….in glorious lo-fidelity… The Beautiful Fascination
