I always felt that JVC Force was one of the more slept on crews when it came to the late 80's grew during the golden age and I've never been sure why that is. They were just as talented as many of the more well known groups from that era. If you aren't familiar with JVC Force, they were a three man crew made up of AJ Rok, B-Luv and DJ Curt Cazal. They dropped two albums, both DOPE, "Doin' Damage" in '88 and "Force Field" in '90.
AJ Rok runs a interesting internet radio/magazine show online these days and late in January (I'm about 2 months late on this) did a 20 year reunion show of the crew. Dope show, be sure to check them out:

Baz.
speaking of JVC does anyone have the single with the blue remix and the acapella.
I was referring to the Strong Island single.
i listened to this recently and was gonna post also....it was great hearing about the old days in long island
peace
The Blue Remix of "Strong Island" is on this CD version of Doin' Damage that I have. It's listed as a bonus track, along with two others. No sign of the acapella, though.
Anyway, props to JVC FORCE! I heard Strong Island on a Mixmaster Mike CD a few years back, and have dug the track since then. Actually just bought this copy of Damage over the weekend and listened to it today for the first time!
Stay funky, fellas.
