Yes, boys and girls, it's that time again. No tongue in cheek titles this time, although someone suggested "Music To Be Busted By Five-O With A Case Of Empty Beer Cans and Three Half Naked Girls", which if I ever make an album, I'm going to use that as the title. You know the drill, I throw together a disk of stuff (for us non I-pod people) with only myself in mind of stuff I want to listen to and since I'm a hellva nice guy, I share it the rest of you.
I spent alot of time (read: I threw this together last night in about a half hour) putting this together. I knew pretty much what I wanted to hear this time around and threw it together. So without further delay.....
Thanks to everyone that helped in acquiring these tracks and their original sources.

1. Zhigge - Rakin' In The Dough (Uptown Bounce Mix)
I LOOOOOVE this track so much. Big thanks to 2pointO and Super Ugly for it. I had been looking for this version since first hearing it on a Red Alert tape I had.
2. Melquan - Krunchtime
I forgot about this cut that appeared on Terminator X's "Super Bad" LP from '93 or '94. Shit is hard and would rattle any trunk. I don' t much about this dude, but I think he was part of the Punk Barbarians (which have a good album worth finding)
3. EPMD - Brothers From Brentwood L.I.
Props to Jaz for this. This was the B-side from "Crossover" I believe, I had it on tape back in the day, just for this track.
4. Da King & I - Crack Da Weazel
My man Dan Love got me to drag this release back out and this was always my favorite track on it.
5. Boodah An Da Bandit - Brain On Drugz
One of those Bust The Facts gems I discovered. Don't remember much about this when it was released, but I've been playing it a lot this spring.
6. Home Team - Pick It Up
Do these guys sound like Poison Clan to anyone else?
7. Joe Sinistr - Under The Sun
My favorite MC to only appear on two tracks in his career. This cat was great, and as far as I know, he only did a track on E Double's solo debut and this track that also appeared on Terminator X's "Super Bad".
8. Jibri Wise One - The House The Dog Built
Another Bust The Facts gem that I remember barely from back in the day.
9. Dredknotz - Causin' A Menace (Lord Digga Mix)
It's the clean version, but still pretty dope. They really needed to drop an album.
10. Whooliganz - Whooliganz (Original Mix feat B-Real)
I can't remember who sent this to me, but a big thanks.
11. Freestyle Proffesors - Down With The Freestyle Proffessors
A nasty, nasty Showbiz beat
12. Jewel T - Ride The Crossfade
A Cool J clone, but I still like it
13. Lord Finesse feat Percee P - Kickin' Flava With My Man
Percee and Finesse rip shit
14. MC Eiht feat Spice 1 & Redman - Nuthin' But The Gangsta
I remember buying this CD back in the day just for the Redman track, but it's a pretty album.
15. Erick Sermon - Rock Da House
Thanks Jaz, not sure of the orgin of this track
16. Camp Lo - Coolie High Paradise Remix
Love this track
17. Grand Puba - 360 (SD50 Remix)
this was a great track, thanks Jaz
18. Nice & Smooth - No Bones In Ice Cream
Been looking for this b-side for awhile now
19. Queens Brooklyn Connection - Back To School
Some classic 80's shit
20. MC Serch - Back To The Grill Again (Remix)
Nice remix with some different MC's

Nice mix.
I'm always shocked how you can pull tracks out that I never even knew existed.
Guess that's why I'm readin' blogs and not writin' em!
Yeah, I love that "Krunchtime" joint as well, I actually posted that in mix I put up as well...Mix looks dope though!
trav, fyi, one of the members of home team is debonaire from poison clan, the other is his brother. also erick sermon's rock da house was the b-side of stay real.

ha ha thanks for the props kid, anytime Trav you know that, speaking of rare...where in the hell can I find Special Ed-Come On, Let's Move It (Remix)...I WILL find this (hopefully :(
Great mix, check my blog for some rudeboy badness...
peace
Travis,
Funnily enough 'Crak Da Weazel' is one of my least favourite cuts on the album, purely because I think the main chorus loop sample works better on Down South's 'Southern Comfort'. I feel it jars a little on the Da King & I joint, but htis may largely be due to hearing the Down South track first (unbelievable I know).
How do you feel about the changes at FDB? I'd like your feedback.
Peace
Dan
Oh, and I love that Freestyle Professors cut... bangin'.
QBC!!! I just found Bryce Luv on myspace. I wish he wouldn't have quit rapping.
Good post again, Travis.
@Jaz- I've got that Special Ed remix, I'll rip it from the 12" and post it here tonite.
I'm downloading this, off the nostalgia factor of the B-Side "Crossover" tape single alone, which I had buried somewhere at my mom's house. Good times. Thank you, sir.
Home Team is the Posion Clan before 2 low life Muthafuckas came out.
I always bumped Compton Cyco off the We come strapped album as well. But that Redman verse is just bananas!!!
Oh my god I destroy cities like the blob / fuck a job / my organization runs like the mob / from here to Cape cod / the orginal dopeness flex / Redman bitch you better ask somebody!!
Cowboys in 08!!

Special Ed-Come On Let's Move It (Remix)

I love that Camp Lo remix, probably because that's the only song on the mix I've heard. However, I've yet to be disappointed by one of your mixes so I'm very excited to check this one out. Thanks for all knowledge and keep up the good work.
@ Jaz, glad to see you finally got a hold of that Special Ed remix. I know you've been looking for that one for a while now.
Love those classics Trav and Bottomlesspedro,a huge thanks for the special ed rmx!!
'Brothers from Brentwood' could be one of the great b-sides of all time.
A bit of trivia for all: The two cats from the Whooliganz have gone onto some big ish since 1993. I'm sure most know one member, but who's the other?
Scott Caan...from Ocean's 13, Varsity Blues...the Whooliganz were local legends where I grew up. For better or worse.
Diggin' the mix, Trav. Good looks on that Joe Sinistr---hadn't heard of him before.
Anyway, I hope you've been able to resolve your blogger identity crisis. I think I'm part of a strong core "audience" who respect and trust what you do enough to ride out any changes you may
decide to make.
And for whatever reason, I was glad to know that you're still listening to that Eddie Harris joint.
Wicked As i step out the house to drive down to Sydney ( 900 km pumping wydu mixtapes all the way! ) you drop another one! Cheers
I cant believe Joe Sinistr only appeared on 2 tracks in his whole life and we have to put up with 50 cent ?
If you do solve the blogger Identity crisis keep the wydu mixes. The only thing worth downloading on the interweb ( well the 2 recent whentheyreminisce mix tapes and crooklyn classics and ... you get the picture !).
You Can't BAN me!!
Joe sinistr is dope!
