I honestly, don't have a lot to say about Da Youngsta's. I really like about 1 or 2 songs per album back in the day. I really got into "Hip Hop Ride". I initially shyed away from them becuase of all the kid groups that wer coming out at the same time ala Anotha Bad Creation & Kriss Kross to name a few. Tajj, Tarik, and Qu'ran make up this trio. They changed their name to the Illy Funkstaz for their last LP, which obviously is their most mature, as they were mid to late teens by this time. Here i present their discography:

Yo man you killing it on here where have I been!! Yeah Da Youngsters a forgotten young group repping Philly!! I kinda liked these cats cause they brought it but in a cool manner!! I was wondering do you have Ram Squads Lock the city!!That's a hard find but it is their first and best album in my opinion.
Nice post. Da Youngsta's started out as a kiddie group, but they turned out to be a solid group that really encapsulates the East Coast sound of the early 90s (yelled choruses, jeep beats). You have to wonder how many of their rhymes they actually penned; but at this point, who cares? Great group of time capsules.
I thought their first album were The Aftermath and their last album No Mercy. Din't knew the other two. Thanks a lot peace
I'll post that Pop Art release "Illy Funkstaz" as soon as I find it... Hey Stone... I'm in J-Ville too. Dwellas were my shit.... Them cats fell off when they started messin' with Queen Latifah in 00' 01'... Holla! neva_no_more@yahoo.com
