Wu Tang Clan - 8 Diagrams Moved Back

The Wu-Tang Clan announced that they have cleared the first ever Beatles sample. Due to the magnitude of the sample and the other history being made, the LP 8 Diagrams
has been pushed back from a release date of Nov. 13th to Dec. 4th.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Edit: I found a track from the new album on the spine magazine page fr free download. It's called "when my guitar gently weeps" and features Erykah Badu. Here you go:

I bet it is "come together"..that seems cliche'd enough.. any other guesses??? nobody will do it as fresh as dangermouse and the grey album..

This shouldn't really be a shock to anyone who's followed the Wu, although I love the fact that the holdup is due to the clearing of the sample and the miscellaneous "other history being made" comment. Guess we know what Shawn Carter will be buying himself for his birthday.

BTW, I like the new look. I find it easier to read, and I'm sure others will agree.

Damn the cleared a Beatles sample! The Dust Bros got away with useing a Beatles sample (from Abbey Road) on Paul's Boutique. I hope the Clan return to form with this one...

This is the same day Saigon drops his "The Greatest Story Never Told".

Also, Nas' Greatest Hits and Jay-Z's "American Gangster" are slated to a head-to-head release.

Now, did Kanye and 50 influence Hip-Hop?

I heard on NPR that they are using My Guitar Gently Weeps and George Harrison son is also going to be on the song.

@nokizm - So did Tribe Called Quest and 3rd Bass.

Yeah I read it in scratch mag. It is a song about addiction featuring a my guitar weeps softly sample. Good update!! I hope the Clan can get some of their old shine back.

Damn---the Wu are pretty fixated on that joint. Guess Jimmy Ponder's rendition (GFK's "My Guitar) just wasn't big enough for The Clansmen.

I also just read about a track that's supposed to be on the LP called "Life Changes". RZA supposedly flipped a Freda Payne song called "The Road We Didn't Take". Should make for a nice beat...if this shit ever gets released.
